CI continuation: blocked diagnosis, preserved candidate¶
Task: fc2b2863-47eb-483c-b010-97af14388b71, frozen v2 reread through MCP.
Execution: d6d45801-d27a-44c4-9342-ad13c75407e1.
Repository: h8v6/heyaira; branch: heyaira/fc2b2863.
Frozen source: 76b30c22be2aa5caa5cb29d5c8ce8c09cb0e05e5.
Starting carried candidate: 91fdd9e9ef5f3dcd3ffb93f822e2ad614f84db39.
Starting parent: 76b30c22be2aa5caa5cb29d5c8ce8c09cb0e05e5.
The starting worktree was clean; origin was [email protected]:h8v6/heyaira.git.
MCP identity matched the pinned instance, project and resource; the caller was
this continuation's execution principal.
Reported failed CI: https://github.com/h8v6/heyaira/actions/runs/38163745892. The CI failure is not fixed or diagnosed by this continuation. Only this evidence file is added above the carried candidate. No executable, regression, contract or protocol changes were made. The new local commit SHA and its verified parent are recorded in the RESULT/receipt. No existing commit was rewritten.
Concrete blocker¶
what: The failed step/test and error from CI run 38163745892 are unavailable. GitHub CLI config reads are denied, the public API request receives proxy 403, and the local wider suite cannot establish the remote CI outcome under sandbox restrictions.
who_moves: coordinator, then the Bridge environment operator
needed: Supply the sanitized failed-step/test output for run 38163745892, or redispatch with a prepared read-only capability for that run's job logs. Do not install tools, grant privileges or change production for this worker.
A text clarification requesting the failed test/error headline was issued while checks continued; no answer was available when recording this checkpoint. There is no project memory entry indexed by the run number. The prepared task-bin contains only its Git link, not a read-only GitHub log helper.
The next step is to reproduce the supplied failure on this checkpoint, add a focused regression if it is a runtime defect, implement the smallest authorized fix, rerun the six frozen methods, and add another local commit. Bridge owns verification and publication. This report is not an independent verdict or a claim that remote CI is green.
Actual local checks¶
Unless explicitly noted, working directory:
/Users/jablonskib/HeyAira-agents/.heyaira-worktrees/heyaira/fc2b2863-worker.
All checks ran against unchanged executable files at the carried candidate.
Prepared disposable PostgreSQL databases were used; no DSN or credential is
retained here. No install, push, PR creation, merge or deployment was performed.
Failed diagnostic commands:
gh run view 38163745892 --repo h8v6/heyaira --log-failed
exit: 1
failed to read configuration: open /Users/jablonskib/.config/gh/config.yml: operation not permitted
Public unauthenticated HTTP GET of the matching GitHub Actions API run URL
exit: 1
httpx.ProxyError: 403 Forbidden
The denial was not bypassed and no GitHub credentials were obtained.
Frozen-behavior and contract checks, exit 0, zero skips:
PYTHONPATH=src python scripts/test_postgres.py tests/test_workflow_wait.py tests/test_workflow_view.py tests/test_mcp_runtime_contract.py tests/test_docs_contract.py -p no:cacheprovider --tb=short -s
workflow_wait timeout elapsed=5.001s
workflow_wait event elapsed=2.042s
workflow_wait acquire deadline elapsed=1.002s
workflow_wait read deadline elapsed=1.007s
88 passed in 46.04s
postgres_acceptance=passed: selected tests, zero skipped tests
Exact K5 command, exit 0, with PYTHONPATH=src and a fresh isolated PostgreSQL
database configured by a Python subprocess harness. The harness uses the existing
runner's URL validation and drops its own newly created database in finally:
python -m pytest tests/test_workflow_wait.py -q
35 passed in 24.32s
Other CI checks, exit 0:
PYTHONPATH=src python scripts/check_product_name.py
Product name check passed: use HeyAira in tracked text files
PYTHONPATH=src python scripts/validate_runtime.py
runtime_validation=passed
PYTHONPATH=src python scripts/export_mcp_contract.py --check
MCP contract is up to date
PYTHONPATH=src python scripts/check_docs_contract.py
documentation contract passed: 47 MCP tools covered
mkdocs build --strict --site-dir site-docs
Documentation built in 2.41 seconds
node --test tests/site-consent.test.cjs tests/design-system-copy.test.cjs ops/cloudflare/server-beat-watchdog/test/*.mjs
tests 57; pass 57; fail 0; skipped 0
The unrestricted local suite was attempted with:
PYTHONPATH=src python scripts/test_postgres.py -p no:cacheprovider --tb=short
It produced failures and sandbox listener skips, then was interrupted by the
execution environment with Network access to "server" was blocked: local/private
network addresses are blocked by the sandbox policy. No final pytest summary,
exit code or normal runner cleanup confirmation was returned. The process was
subsequently unavailable to polling (Unknown process id). No totals or full
suite acceptance are inferred from progress output.
Two focused checks classify observed local failures as unavailable capabilities:
PYTHONPATH=src python scripts/test_postgres.py tests/test_backup_state_marker.py -x -p no:cacheprovider --tb=short
exit: 1
test_a_statistics_reset_never_repeats_an_earlier_marker
asyncpg.exceptions.InsufficientPrivilegeError: permission denied for function pg_stat_reset
1 failed, 5 passed in 2.85s
PYTHONPATH=src python -m pytest tests/test_deployment_guard.py -x -q -p no:cacheprovider --tb=short
exit: 1
test_failed_health_rolls_back_with_overlay_and_previous_revision
ops/deploy-heyaira.sh: line 856: cannot create temp file for here document: Operation not permitted
1 failed, 4 passed in 1.83s
The deployment test is a synthetic dry run, not a deployment. A rerun with
TMPDIR in a worker-created workspace directory still failed with the same
denial (1 failed, 4 passed in 4.41 seconds). No permissions were changed and these
unrelated tests were not weakened.
The local origin/main was d498b01125f81a1cf97346191b6ce0417ef8cdf0, newer than
the candidate's common ancestor 1e5f61028a970edf87098e9915e7a438a0e10bc4.
Its archived files were extracted into a disposable scratch directory, and the
candidate's file patch was applied there, without creating a branch, merging Git
history or changing the assigned checkout. This is a compatibility diagnostic,
not proof of the exact remote CI checkout.
An initial scratch run had 87 passes and one documentation-row failure because
the scratch setup omitted the candidate's docs/reference/mcp-tools.md patch.
That was a scratch setup error, not a candidate defect. After applying the
remaining candidate documentation patch, scratch checks passed:
working directory: .heyaira-check-tmp/ci-snapshot (under the assigned workspace)
PYTHONPATH=src python -m pytest tests/test_mcp_runtime_contract.py tests/test_docs_contract.py -q -p no:cacheprovider --tb=short
exit: 0
26 passed in 2.91s
PYTHONPATH=src python scripts/check_docs_contract.py
exit: 0
documentation contract passed: 47 MCP tools covered
PYTHONPATH=src python scripts/export_mcp_contract.py --check
exit: 0
MCP contract is up to date
Worker-created scratch and generated-site directories are removed before commit. Git checks use the installed Xcode binary. Only this new evidence file changes in the continuation; the full frozen-source diff remains within allowed paths. Postcommit HEAD/parent, both ancestry checks, path lists and clean-tree output are retained in RESULT/receipt.
Frozen methods and criterion results¶
All six frozen criteria still pass for the carried implementation. Their
success does not establish that the separate reported CI failure is repaired.
The original P1 failure before the runtime fix remains recorded in
docs/reports/2026-10-11-fc2b2863-workflow-wait-fixes.md, already committed in
the carried candidate: online != unknown after revocation and a new heartbeat.
RESULT explicitly preserves that before-fix observation.
K1 method: Run the new P1 regression in tests/test_workflow_wait.py with pytest -> passed; RESULT states it failed before the fix. K2 method: Targeted pytest -> passed. K3 method: Targeted pytest -> passed; read the docs paragraph. K4 method: Targeted pytest -> passed. K5 method: python -m pytest tests/test_workflow_wait.py -q -> passed K6 method: git diff --name-only 76b30c22be2aa5caa5cb29d5c8ce8c09cb0e05e5..HEAD and git merge-base --is-ancestor 76b30c22be2aa5caa5cb29d5c8ce8c09cb0e05e5 HEAD -> only allowed paths, ancestor true.
criterion_id: K1

evidence_path: docs/reports/2026-10-11-fc2b2863-ci-blocker.md
feedback: PostgreSQL targeted run exit 0 includes both revoked-binding regressions; before-fix failure is preserved in the carried candidate's evidence and in RESULT.
criterion_id: K2
outcome: pass
evidence_path: docs/reports/2026-10-11-fc2b2863-ci-blocker.md

outcome: pass
evidence_path: docs/reports/2026-10-11-fc2b2863-ci-blocker.md
feedback: Targeted PostgreSQL run exit 0 includes per-principal/global capacity and cancellation cleanup. The unchanged BRIDGE_PROTOCOL paragraph documents the pinned JSON transport fallback.
criterion_id: K4
outcome: pass
evidence_path: docs/reports/2026-10-11-fc2b2863-ci-blocker.md
feedback: Targeted PostgreSQL run exit 0; one-second acquisition/read delays complete in 1.002/1.007 seconds, below 2 seconds.
criterion_id: K5
outcome: pass
evidence_path: docs/reports/2026-10-11-fc2b2863-ci-blocker.md
feedback: Exact command exit 0: 35 passed in 24.32 seconds, no skips. The reported remote CI failure remains undiagnosed and unrepaired; log access is required.
criterion_id: K6
outcome: pass
evidence_path: docs/reports/2026-10-11-fc2b2863-ci-blocker.md
feedback: One evidence-only commit above 91fdd9e; no amended/reset/rebased history. Both the frozen source and carried candidate remain ancestors; full diff paths are allowed.
